NatureMill's Automatic Composter
NatureMill has turned out a composter that is not only energy efficient, but also easy on the smell. The on board computer monitors the bacterial growth to know when it needs to turn on the heater or the mixing wand to promote growth. The air pump also helps by pumping in new oxygen for the bacteria, and then the old air is pumped through the charcoal filter which eliminates the odor. It takes about a week for the compost to drop into the cure tray. It produces enough compost for about a 400-square-foot plot, and it only uses about 50 cents worth of electricity a month to operate. The composter costs around $400 and weighs 20 pounds. Click here to purchase or for more information. Click here for an HGTV special on the composter.
