Abor Day Foundation
What is Arbor Day? Arbor Day is a National Day dedicated to the care and planting of new trees. It originated in Nebraska back in 1872 founded by a man named J. Sterling Morton. National Arbor Day falls on the last Friday in April of every year. The Arbor Day Foundation at arborday.org is a great website to learn about the history of Arbor Day and to buy all different kinds of trees. They also have charts as to what season is the best season for trees to be planted in your region. The best is that when you sign up to become a member of the website you get 10 free trees of your choice. This site is definitely worth checking out just to learn about different kinds of trees and the best trees for certain areas. The are even sections on the devastation of forest fires, and my personal favorite rainforest recovery.
