This blog's sole purpose is to present information pertaining to the environment and methods through which we can help improve its current state. The Earth was once pure and lush from the north pole to the south pole, and while perhaps we can never take it back to that original innocence, we can help to preserve it. It is our duty to future generations, and as the species given charge over this world, to begin taking the steps necessary to preserve our planet's beauty and nurture the environment's capacity to cleanse itself. This blog offers tips and presents ideas that will help sustain our planet's longevity and potential to provide for us, and hopefully motivate our readers to a better understanding of how we can impact the Earth in positive ways.
Featured Endangered Animal
Oceanic whitetip shark (Carcharhinus longimanus)
The Oceanic whitetip shark currently lives in all tropical to subtropical waters. It is threatened by fishermen in all of its habitats. Asian countries use the sharks' large fins for shark fin soup, but usually the rest of the carcass is discarded. It is also sometimes accidentally caught by fishermen who are looking to catch other fish. Its current state is vulnerable because it was once common in deep, cold water, but now sightings are rare.
